Something came up this week in the field service space that I wanted to share. Not only because it’s something we haven’t seen before, but also to illustrate how we can help NetSuite customers manage the risk of COVID-19 in the field.
Ordinarily, we are creating forms on the mobile for field engineers to fill out – things like SWMS or JSAs (job safety assessments) or plain old process checklists. This forms the basis of what technicians need to do for work completion in the field. Things like director’s liability are a common talk track, as is mitigating risk for our customers.
This week, a customer contacted us with an urgent request for a COVID-19 form on the mobile, and the ability to block job completion if certain criteria was not met.
One of the things I love about NetSuite and Next Service, is simply how rapidly you can respond to system change requests like this. Responsiveness to changing market conditions is CRITICAL right now.
As an on-platform solution, we were able to respond quickly, configure the new COVID-19 form and deploy to their production account immediately. If that doesn’t convince you why Native SuiteApps are a critical business decision, I don’t know what will.
