The primary responsibility of the Technical Consultant is to work closely with customers, consultants and the product development team to provide technical solutions for requirements gathered.

Position Title: Technical Consultant
Department: North America
Position Reports Role: VP of Customer Success


  • Customer happiness and engagement measures, including configuration times and problem resolution
  • Taking ownership of designed solutions and building the necessary configurations through to completion


  • First line deployment support
  • Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve system issues
  • Software deployment consulting support
  • Data cleansing, conversion and importing
  • Finding, replicating and accessing impact of product problems and defects
  • Co-ordinate release and upgrade schedule with product development, service delivery, partners and customers
  • Product development, documentation, upgrades, patches and release notes
  • Maintain customer portal for FAQ, solutions and product updates
  • Track and manage customer reported issues via a case management system adhering to best practices
  • Assist with Product QA and provisioning as required
  • System customisations via JSON, NetSuite SuiteAnalytics, Advanced PDF, Saved Searches, Report Writing and SuiteBuilder

Required Experience/Skills

  • NetSuite Support, systems implementation, or administration experience
  • Working knowledge of JSON
  • 3+ years of experience providing technical support for enterprise software applications (SaaS, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Zuora, Infor, Taleo, onsite ERP, Peoplesoft etc)
  • Experience working on projects with multiple stakeholders

Role Grades


  • Experience level, 1-3 years deploying and supporting Next Technik products
  • Requires some level of support and supervision to manage multiple deployment projects
  • Confidently conducts face to face customer engagements without supervision on occasion
  • Expert level skills in Next Technik config, SuiteBuilder, ADF PDF


  • Experience level, 3-5 years deploying and supporting Next Technik products
  • Can operate completely unsupervised
  • Can effectively manage multiple deadlines and complete them accordingly
  • Mentors and trains Consultant positions
  • Can run their own vanilla deployment without assistance of Functional consulting
  • Expert Level skills in NetSuite Wrokflow, FreeMarker and BFO and Next Technik Dynamic forms


  • Experience level, 5+ years deploying and supporting Next Technik products
  • A Senior Technical Consultant who demonstrates sufficient Functional and Team leadership qualities is eligible to apply for a Principal Consulting role (separate JD)
  • Works with new business team on scoping large projects and prepares statement of works
  • Leads a team (3-8) consultants and manages all aspects of deployment and optimisation services for assigned customers
  • Work with Customer Success team to ensure high levels of customer engagement
